I hope there is a new quilt project coming because these designs are beautiful! This is a new collection that is coming from BERNINA!
A total of 31 designs are included and they really look like applique - but I can't find that in print on the front or back cover images. Beautiful!! Sharon Pederson is a renowned quilt instructor who I noticed has several classes she will be teaching at the quilt show in Santa Clara this October. One of them is the Rose of Sharon but it is not this machine embroidery version.7:00 pm Update - watch for more information on this as we have a new quilt project coming later this year. Yes the collection is also applique, all 31 blocks!
Sharon Pederson and I have stitched them all out several times and have really enjoyed applying all the wonderful applique shapes to the embroidery. There are several quilts that have been created, one by Sharon Pederson that is the cover quilt on the embroidery CD, and one by Margaret Miller using her AnglePlay techniques. There may be a kit for the collection available at Fall Market in Houston.
Sharon has also done a group of samples for the collection called "The Many Faces of Sharon" where we have stitched out the collection in different color ways and backgrounds.
